Melissa Frawley
Melissa joined CITRS in 2017. She serves as a Mentor Coach for WNY area schools and as a consultant for the CITRS GROW model. Melissa earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from SUNY Brockport and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College. A native of Buffalo NY, she has 25 combined years of experience and training in the areas of character and positive youth development; social work and human services; programming and events development and coordination.
From 2001-2004, Melissa dedicated herself to three years of full-time service as an AmeriCorps*VISTA in WNY. That experience led her to spearhead the Healthy Communities Healthy Youth initiative in the City of Tonawanda School District which earned the NYS Civic Star Award. Additionally, Melissa developed and coordinated the annual City of Tonawanda Community Fair. This event brought together community members and showcased local businesses, organizations, student clubs and school initiatives. Melissa is an active volunteer in the WNY community.
