CLAY HAMLIN is the CEO and co-founder of CITRS, which focuses on character development in schools. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Character.org

 

In 1989, Clay joined The Shidler Group, a private national real estate organization, as a Managing Partner headquartered in Philadelphia and focusing on the Northeast and Middle Atlantic regions. He is the co-founder and former Vice Chairman of The Board and CEO of Corporate Office Properties Trust, a publicly traded real estate investment trust (NYSE: OFC). During his tenure, OFC led all 250 publicly traded REITs in the nation in earnings growth from 1997 - 2007. He currently is the Managing Partner of Alliance HSP, a private commercial real estate company located in Bryn Mawr, PA. Clay also serves as the CEO of LBCW, LP, his family investment entity.

 

Clay was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and attended the Nichols School, followed by the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton Business School. There he captained the men’s tennis team, and he received the Class of 1915 Award for Penn’s Ideal Scholar/Athlete in his 1967 graduating class. Later, he received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, and his JD from Temple University School of Law. He is a CPA and was formerly an attorney at Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz and Saul, Ewing. Fifteen years ago, he was inducted into Penn’s Tennis Hall of Fame, and, in 2019, into Penn’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
