In this role, he is responsible for curriculum development, including research, written content and providing expertise in teaching and communications. A key focus for Brendan is client relationships, providing high quality, pro-active and hands-on support to address key needs with creative solutions. He pays special attention to building school culture and creating dynamic learning communities with character at their core.
Brendan graduated from Fordham University in 1997 with a B.A. in History and earned his Masters of Education in Teacher Leadership. He has over eighteen years of teaching experience at all levels (Pre-K through 12), including coaching in three sports and working at schools in both the United States and Europe. Brendan originally joined CITRS in 2010. Prior to becoming full-time at CITRS, he served as Director of Religious Studies at St. Francis Xavier School in Philadelphia, where his educational leadership included character education, school mission, daily assemblies, home visitations, classroom instruction and service-learning projects. Brendan is a certified public school (K-12) social studies teacher and has training in the Common Core Standards.
